Now you can update address and mobile number online in Aadhaar

 

ABOUT AADHAAR:  Aadhaar is issued by Unique Identification Authority of India ( UIDAI) ,the agency which provides the 12-digit ID verification number. It is linked to important documents like bank account , driving license ,vehicles and many more services.

As Aadhaar is linked with all government schemes and financial services .Therefore ,every individual citizen must have Aadhar card.

It consists personal details of the Aadhaar cardholder. Personal details contain - 

• Name 
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Address
• Photograph

      

Aadhaar can be accessed by using UIDAI portal i.e.uidai.gov.in and e-Aadhaar.uidai.gov.in.This portal 

give access to update their name, address, phone number etc .

Update photograph on Aadhaar:

STEPS

1. Download Aadhaar enrollment form from  UIDAI .
2. Now fill your details in the form.
3. Confirm your provided information to the executive by biometric verification.
4. At the Aadhar Enrollment Center  and Aadhar Seva Kendra the execution of photo will take place.
5.  Now for changing the photo you have to pay RS 25+GST.
6. Now within in the execution  you will get URN in acknowledgement slip.
7. You can check Aadhaar update  status on UIDAI portal using URN.

Update number on Aadhaar:

STEPS

1. Open the official UIDAI website using Ask.uidai.gov.in.
2. Now you need to enter the number which you want to update.
3. Insert  captcha code.
4. Now you enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
5. Click on submit.
6. Now a dropdown menu is visible on the screen that notes 'Online Aadhaar Service'. Other options are also  shown  containing name , gender, email ID, mobile number etc.
7. Now click on mobile number as you want to update it.
8. Fill all the relevant details.
9. Make sure to confirm the detail you want to update.
10. A new webpage will be appeared ,and you have to enter a captcha.
11. Now an OTP will be sent  to your mobile number ,verify and click on the 'save and proceed ' option.

Update the Address on Aadhaar:

 STEPS

1. For further information  visit here .
2. Search for 'Update Aadhaar ' section .
3. If you want to change  your address then select the 'Update Address in your Aadhaar ' option.
4. Now a new web page is pop up.
5. Then ,choose 'Proceed to Update Aadhaar ' from the option provided.
6. As a result of this, users are able to correct Aadhaar details immediately.
